Rabbi Tamar Kolberg of our sister congregation, Kehilat Ra'anan, in Ranana, Israel spoke at Etz Chaim on Thursday, April 30th at 7:30 PM. She described life at her congregation and within Israeli Reform Judaism. Rabbi Kolberg's visit to our community provides an opportunity to strengthen and broaden the connection between our two congregations.

Groups of our congregants have enjoyed the hospitality of Kehilat Ra'anan during our Israel trips. The youth groups have spent entire weekends with families in Ranana. The adult groups have visited Kehilat Ra'anan for Shabbat services and have enjoyed Friday night dinners in homes of members of the congregation.

Two leaders of Kehilat Ra'anan, David Kaplan and Judy Katzin grew up here at Etz Chaim. Both David and Judy served as president of our Senior Youth Group. When Kehilat Ra'anan began their building campaign we raised money to help them get started.
