WHAT IS SENIOR YOUTH GROUP? 

Senior Youth Group is for young adults in ninth through twelfth grades who are interested in hanging out with Jewish friends while learning and having fun.

The teens are guided by adult advisors and Rabbi Cosnowsky  and have their own board of directors which includes a president, vice president, treasurer, recording secretary, corresponding secretary and freshman representative.

Some examples of activities in which SYG is involved include the annual food drive during the High Holy Days, trips to Second City and a waterpark, providing the food at the Purim Carnival, and social gatherings with other NFTY-affiliated synagogues. We encourage our members to become active in NFTY-CAR, the North American Federation of Temple Youth-Chicago Area Region, and to participate in events such as Winter Kallah held at OSRUI in December.
