Congregational Seder
The seder is a delightful event. Approximately 200 people sit down together to celebrate and remember the Jews’ deliverance from slavery to freedom. It is a participatory service – with both adults and children having parts in the seder. The seder is led by Rabbi Bob and Rabbi Cosnowsky, with songleading by Cindy Michelassi. It is fun. The hunt for the afikomen is incredible. There is a wonderful camaraderie that is experienced by all.
The Temple provides haggadot, wine, and all of the food for dinner, with the exception of dessert. Those coming to the seder are asked to bring fresh fruit or pesadik and non-dairy cookies or cake. In addition, each family is asked to send one adult to help set up before the Seder or to help clean up after the seder.
Congregational Seder 2009
This year's congregational seder was smaller and more intimate that in years past but just as much fun! Rabbi Bob even dressed in a "festive outfit". Music was enthusiastically led by Cindy Michelassi and the service was led by both rabbis. The delicious food was from both Schmaltz's and Mike's Meat Market. We hope you can join us again next year.
Congregational Seder 2008

Approximately 185 people came to the community seder last year. At the Seder Rabbi Bob found something to put the Afikoman into. This year he bought (made) an Afikoman Alarm. The Afikoman finders were able to penetrate the alarm and steal the Afikoman! The dinner was tasty - carrots, brisket, potato kugal, gefilta fish, horoset, and matzo. Lots of singing and laughing with friends. That night was the best night!
