Ken has lived in Lombard close to 32 years and has been a member for almost 30 years. He and his wife Ronni have 3 children, Steve, Rachael and Dan. They have all attended Etz Chaim pre-school and religious school. They also had their B'nai Mitzvah at Etz Chaim and attend classes through Confirmation.
Etz Chaim is more than his home away from home. He feels a very strong sense of commitment to give back what he has been blessed with. Etz Chaim has given him so much over the years that would not have been possible otherwise. The synagogue has given his children (and Ken) a Jewish identity. That in itself would be enough. He has also been blessed to have made many close friendships over the years. The closeness he feels with them cannot be easily put into words.
Ken looks forward to being Etz Chaim's President for the next year and feels a real sense of responsibility to continue to make Etz Chaim feel like your home away from home.
