Wise Aging Spring Session
The 17 of us who completed the fall series cannot speak highly enough about this opportunity for those 50+ who are looking to connect with others and re-connect with themselves.
Beginning Thursday, March 14th, from 10 AM-12 PM, trained facilitators Barbara Hausman and Marc Blesoff, will lead a NEW series of seven weekly sessions based on the book and curriculum developed at the Institute for Jewish Spirituality in Baltimore.
J.J. Hunsecker, the most powerful newspaper columnist in New York, is determined to prevent his sister from marrying Steve Dallas, a jazz musician. He therefore covertly employs Sidney Falco (Curtis), a sleazy and unscrupulous press agent, to break up the affair by any means possible.
Produced in 1942, this war comedy is set in Warsaw, just prior to the 1939 Nazi Germany Invasion. The film stars Jack Benny and Carole Lombard who are running a local theater company and producing a play, Gestapo, which satirizes the Nazis. The consensus among 42 reviews on Rotten Tomatoes deems it a "delicate balance of humor and ethics."
