Life Tree Cinema: To Be or Not To Be

Wed, 12/12/2018 - 1:39pm -- Lifelong Learning

Produced in 1942, this war comedy is set in Warsaw, just prior to the 1939 Nazi Germany Invasion. The film stars Jack Benny and Carole Lombard who are running a local theater company and producing a play, Gestapo, which satirizes the Nazis. The consensus among 42 reviews on Rotten Tomatoes deems it a "delicate balance of humor and ethics."

Movie will be held in the Social Hall
At Congregation Etz Chaim
