Rabbi Steven Bob’s New Class
Ezra/Nehemiah and the Meaning of Jewish Existence
Rabbi Bob will again teach a class on Fridays at noon beginning on Friday April 13. One of Rabbi Bob’s retirement projects is translating the medieval commentaries to Ezra and Nehemiah. These biblical books describe the return of the ancient Israelites to Jerusalem from exile in Babylonia. He will draw on these commentaries reflecting on the connections between the return from the first exile 2500 years ago and the return from the second exile in the 19th and 20th centuries.
The hour-long class will meet on April 13, May 4, May 11, May 18. You are welcome to bring a lunch or join members of the class to go out for lunch after the class. To help us properly prepare please register for the class by emailing Sue Wilkerson at [email protected]
