Monsieur Ibrahim

Monsieur Ibrahim is an old Muslim Turkish owner of a small market in a very poor neighborhood in Paris on a street called Blue. He becomes friends with the Jewish teenager Moises, tenderly nicknamed Momo, who lives with his father in a small apartment on the other side of the street. Monsieur Ibrahim gives paternal love and teaches the knowledge of the Qur'an to the boy, receiving in return love and respect.

Following the film, Congregant Paul Heinz will lead a brief discussion.  A writer, musician and film buff, Paul is also a member of the Executive Board.

Please RSVP to Paul Heinz at [email protected], or call the synagogue office at 630.627.3912.

IF YOU NEED A RIDE, please contact the synagogue office by June 13th.

The Life Tree Cinema is a collaboration between the Library Committee and the Lifelong Learning Committee.
