Volunteering at Etz Chaim

Mon, 07/02/2018 - 11:13am -- Marla Friedman

I hope that you are all enjoying the summer so far. Here at Etz Chaim, we are busy getting ready for the new school year. Registration forms are coming in and it’s heartening to see the volunteer forms returning (filled out!) as well.

I hope that you will consider getting involved and joining those who already are a part of this team. We need teachers and many other volunteers to continue what has been built here. Volunteering for our school connects you to our community, strengthens your social network, and is fun and fulfilling. Whatever your schedule or skill set, there is an opportunity for you to help our students.

One such opportunity is leading a chug. A chug is a weekly, thirty minute enrichment class held between Hebrew and Judaica.

Do you have a passion for Israeli dance or expertise in needlecraft?

Is Mah Johng your game?

Maybe you’re a puzzle fanatic?

Wherever your interest lies, our students would benefit from your sharing it with them. Thank you so much to those of you who have already signed on to run a chug!

I would be happy to talk with you further about doing this mitzvah. Please stop by or call. My door is always open.

Enjoy the rest of your summer.
B’shalom, Marla
